Executive Resume Writing
It’s true that you have only a few seconds to capture a reader’s attention and it’s also rue that with each additional page, you reduce your changes of being written completely. For most executive it is unrealistic and nearly impossible to compress years of experience into one or two pages. When attempted, important achievements are left out to make room for a full chronology of the career history and education. What is left, is a boring list of companies, dates and positions that are guaranteed to send to sleep the reader and place you resume in the circular file.
A better strategy is to write your resume detailed enough to convince your employer that you are the right one for his needs and problems, to compel him to pick up the phone and call you for an interview.
An executive resume, should resume only the last ten years, because readers will be interested only in your last years of activity Content of the resume should be selected strategically to support your focus and value proposition.
After adding all the important details, your resume should contain some personal information, to indicate the many dimensions to your life and interests.
